ocean_requiem@hotmail.com BioThis is the journal of an officially qualified (!) geologist, doing her masters at Otago Uni, NZ.
In a nutshell I'm 23, 5'2, have brown hair, blue eyes, and am a combination of friendly, open, sarcastic and somewhat cynical.
My dad also claims a good personalised plate for my car would be 'GEONUT', which says a lot as well. Though some people would probably claim it should say 'PALEONUT' if there were space for two more letters.
In geology I've gained the labels 'sedimentologist', 'fossilologist' (or 'flossologist'...) 'softrockologist' and 'crudrockologist' thanks to my preference for working with the 'soft' rocks and fossils. And 'magpie geologist' because I'm always attracted to the shiny rocks/minerals or just shiny things in general... (Hey, who isn't? XD)
Apparently I'm also going to one day be a famous paleontologist who'll find a fossil alligator with a fossil kiwi in its mouth, and a fossil snuffluphogus (spelling?). These, of course, are yet to be seen.
I've also got a list of obsessions well known to a small group of friends, and quite often laughed at.
This includes, in no particular order -
